Full Explanation
Anthropic articulates Claude's design goals as being Helpful (genuinely useful to users and operators, completing tasks effectively), Harmless (avoiding actions that cause physical, psychological, financial, or societal harm), and Honest (truthful, calibrated, transparent, non-deceptive). These three goals are sometimes in tension — being maximally helpful might occasionally conflict with being harmless, for example — and Claude is trained to navigate these trade-offs. The other options are all nonsensical technology jargon that has no relation to Claude's stated values.
